LRHC Auxiliary announces 2026 scholarship winners
The Lafayette Regional Health Center’s Auxiliary Scholarship Committee is pleased to announce that $1,000 scholarships have been awarded to eight individuals pursuing careers in the human health care field.
The scholarships were funded from proceeds of the hospital gift shop and a generous donation from the City of Lexington Hospital Board of Trustees. The LRHC Gift Shop is managed and maintained by volunteers of the LRHC Auxiliary.
The recipients, their colleges and goals are as follows:
• Madison Astabie of Oak Grove is obtaining an MSN degree in nursing from UMKC.
• Miah Bennett of Higginsville is pursuing a BSN degree in nursing from UCM.
• Krystin Borgstadt of Concordia is attending Central Methodist University to receive a BS degree in Health Science.
• Kiya Inman of Concordia will receive an associates degree in Medical Sonography from State Fair Community College.
• Erica Lilleman of Malta Bend is obtaining a BSN degree in nursing from UCM.
• Chloe Neer of Lexington is pursuing a degree in communication disorders to become a speech language pathologist.
• Craig Schachtele, also of Lexington, will receive a medical lab science degree from NKC Health.
• Carson Tracy of Waverly will receive a degree in kinesiology from UCM for a career as an Occupational Therapist.
Support of the LRHC Auxiliary and gift shop enables the Auxiliary to continue making these scholarships available to residents of Lafayette County and the surrounding area.
