The Lexington Garden Club is proud to name the home of Christine and Mark Scheitlin at 54 Lakeview Dr. as Yard of the Month for June. It really stands out with its large barrels of beautiful flowers of many colors, set in a lovely landscape pattern. It’s a yard that adds much beauty to its neighborhood and our city.

Second place is 217 24th St., third – 505 Roderick St., fourth – 9 Forest Lane, fifth – 118 17th St. Honorable mentions are 20 Lakeview Dr., 230 17th St., 301 17th St., 309 17th St., 539 17th St., 717 17th St., 1807 Forest Ave., 13 Country Club Terrace, and 115 18th St.

We always look for the most improved yard, which was 118 17th St. Congratulations to all of you for your hard work and your love of gardening. It helps make our city beautiful.
