Pamela Lucas

Pamela Lucas, 82, of Higginsville, died on April 25, 2026 at the Meyer Care Center.

She was born on November 23, 1943, in Middletown Township, NJ, to Edgar and Ethel (Johnson) Buck. She was the eldest of seven children. She spent time living in the Washington D.C. and Virginia areas but called Elizabeth City, NC, home for over 20 years. In 2019, she relocated to Higginsville, MO.

She had three children with her first husband. They later divorced. When she married James Lucas on October 28, 1989, she inherited three step children.

He preceded her in death on June 1, 2014. Pam was a book keeper by trade, but her passionate hobby was stained glass. Over the years, she crafted and sold numerous pieces that reflected her artistic talent and creativity.

She is survived by: Son, Samuel Hunt of New Carrollton, MD; Daughters, Catherine McDonald of Brookeville, MD; Teresa Hunt (Bruce) of Annapolis, MD; Step-son, Norman Lucas (Glenna) of Higginsville; Step-daughters, Raven Anne Lucas (Matt) of Cody, WY; Karen Lucas (Bev) of Madison, WI.

Grandchildren: Audra Lucas, Allison Lucas, Jerid Lucas, Jenna Lucas, Michael Lucas, Karl McDonald, Michael Zink, 7 Great Grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 7th at 10:30 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, officiated by Fr. Justin Hoye. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral.

She will be buried in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
