December 30, 1963 – June 21, 2026

Mary Leslie Eppes of Higginsville, Missouri, passed away June 21, 2026, at the age of 62. Mary was born on December 30, 1963, in Leesburg, Virginia to Frank Eppes and Margaret Alice Pancoast Eppes. At a young age she moved to Sedalia, Missouri with her family. Mary was a unique lady with special needs, but that didn’t stop her from ‘doing life’ Mary’s way. She was determined, fisty, persistent and strong but underneath she was tender, gentle and affectionate. Mary liked calming music, car rides and her favorite thing was soaking in the sunlight. She paid close attention to details in her home and made sure everything was in its place. Mary had a big personality in a tiny package.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Charles Penn Eppes. She is survived by siblings, Frankie Eppes Adamson, Joseph Gibson Eppes, and Robin Lee Painter (Bob). Also surviving are the multiple caretakers at Northwest Community Services, Higginsville, Missouri.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 10 AM at Goose Creek Friends Cemetery in Lincoln, Virginia. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice or Dalmatian Rescue of Colorado, 1675 Fairoak Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80918.

The family will be forever grateful to Northwest Community Services and the multiple caretakers and staff for their loving care for Mary through the years. Many of those workers were there at her passing because of their love for her. Mary was a force that leaves a hole in the lives of many who knew her. Paid Obituary
