Helen Lucille Breshears

Helen Lucille Breshears, 83, of rural Marshall, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2026, at her home. Born Sept. 23, 1942, in Batesville, Ark., Lucille was the daughter of the late Robert E. Baker and Helen Elizabeth Moore Baker. She lived in Saline County most of her life and was a graduate of Marshall High School.

On April 20, 1963, she married Ralph Lee Breshears who preceded her in death on Aug. 3, 2016.

Lucille worked at Marshall Habilitation Center for over 25 years, then at The Marshall Democrat News for 20 years.

Survivors include five children: Kim Jackson of rural Marshall, Pamala Breshears of Springfield, Robert Breshears (Karlin) of Blackburn, Rhonda LaGore (Johnny) of Waverly, and Darren Breshears (Shelby) of rural Marshall; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Pat Morrow (Larry) of rural Marshall; sister-in-law, Diane Baker, brother-in-law, John Breshears (Lillian); as well as other extended family. In addition to her parents and husband, Lucille was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Amber Gunderson; one greatgrandson, Grayson Robinson; one sister, Betty Baker; and one brother, Glenn Baker.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026 from 10-11 a.m. at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Memorial services will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with William W. Harlow officiating.
