The family will host a celebration of life from 2:00p.m. to 6:00p.m., Saturday, October 3,2026, at Lexington Elks Lodge 801 Main Street. Lexington, MO 64067. Charles was born on July 26,1946, in Kansas City, Missouri to Dana Hill and Joyce Jeanne (Bray) Emerson. Charles was a proud graduate of Lexington High School and dedicated many years of his life to trucking, specifically hauling automobiles. He was deeply involved in his community, serving as a member of the Elks Lodge in Lexington, where he made countless friends and memories that enriched his life. On March 13, 1965, Charles was united in marriage to Joyce Ann (Rodekohr) Emerson in Lexington, Missouri. Charles cherished every moment spent with his only grandchild, Kelbey Emerson, never missing a soccer game and reveling in the joy that family brought to his life. An avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and a lover of the outdoors, Charles found joy in boating and celebrating life’s simple pleasures with a diet Pepsi.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Ann Emerson, two children, Stephen (Tracey) Emerson of Kansas City, MO and Paul Emerson of Moberly, one grandchild, Kelbey Emerson of Kansas City, MO, one brother, David (Malia) Emerson of Lexington, MO and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Along with both his parents, Charles was preceded in death by a brother, Travis Hill Emerson.
