Steven Wayne “Smitty” Smith, 74, of Richmond, passed away Friday, September 11,2026, at Liberty Hospital.

Smitty was born on April 13,1952, in Lexington, the son of Paris Wayne and Norma Katherine (Cox) Smith. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the donors choice. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home.

A memorial visitation was held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 24,2026, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Richmond Memory Gardens.
