Temporary news office closure

The Santa Fe Times office will be closed during the week of June 1 for Klarissa’s vacation. News items may still be submitted to news@santafetimesnews.com and calls may be directed to 660-243-0330. The deadline for submission of items to the newspaper will remain noon on the Tuesday before desired publication. Please remember the newspaper also has a new mailing address: PO Box 128, Lexington MO 64067.

Corder Picnic

The 126th annual Corder Community Picnic will be held June 17, 19 & 20, 2026 at the Corder park. The rodeo will be held Wednesday evening at 8 p.m., Miss Corder pageant Friday evening, and Saturday will feature the Corder VFW breakfast (7:3010 a.m.), games, the 4th annual Corder VFW Car Show (Registration 8 a.m., judging 11 a.m., awards 2 p.m.), parade, rides and more. Good Friends & Neighbors

On the first Monday of every month, a community group in Waverly called Good Friends and Neighbors meets at the Waverly Baptist Church. Meetings begin at 10:30 a.m. with a potluck lunch to follow. All are welcome to attend!

Waverly Community VBS

Waverly Community VBS is scheduled for July 19-23 from 6-8 p.m. at Victory Christian Fellowship. A volunteer meeting is scheduled for Sunday, July 12 beginning at 2 p.m. at Victory Christian Fellowship. VBS is open to children age 4 (by Aug. 1) 8th grade.
