Tieman-Blackburn auxiliary meets
Tieman-Blackburn American Legion Auxiliary met May 11, 2026, at 7 p.m. at the Legion Hall in Blackburn.
President Jan Erdman called the meeting to order with the Pledge, Preamble and Mission Statement. A moment of silence was observed for our servicemen.
Eight members answered roll call with “Your favorite flower or favorite flower in your garden.”
The Auxiliary received a letter from Trinity Lutheran on the 5K walk. A motion was made by Denise Limback and seconded by Britany Embry to give a donation for the 4th of July Celebration. Motion carried.
Donations were made to each of the following: Veterans Memorial Perryville, Mo., and Coalition to Salute American Heros. A motion was made by Britany Embry and seconded by Denise Limback to approve the donations. Motion carried. A donation was also made to the 7th District.
The discussion will continue about the visit to the tour of Tiny Houses on June 17.
The Auxiliary will have the cake walk on Saturday of the 4th celebration. Each member is to donate two cakes. The auxiliary will also sell popcorn.
With no further business the meeting was adjourned with a prayer by Chaplain Brittany Embry. Refreshments were served by Jan Erdman.
The next meeting will be held on June 8, 2026, at 7 p.m. at the Legion Hall in Blackburn.
