Santa Fe sports recap – 2025-26 school year
Here is a quick look back at the 2025-26 school year for Santa Fe Chiefs athletics.
The volleyball team placed 2nd in Class One District 14 losing to Crest Ridge 3 sets to 2. The team finished with a fine record of 16-10, and 4. The team was 23 and 11 in 2024. For Chiefs football last fall, the team finished 3 and 7, after a 2 and 10 campaign the previous year.
Moving into the winter season, the Lady Chiefs basketball team finished up 17 and 10 overall, after a 21 and 6 year in 2024-25. The boys saw marked improvement from the previous year going 8 and 18 on the season.
In the spring, many individual successes were seen on the track including Wyatt Doak taking 2nd in the High Jump at state, Koewen Dierker 6th at state in the discus, and Mae Vandiver with a top ten performance (ninth) in the 800 meter run. On the ball diamond, the Lady Chiefs were 7-11 and 1, (9 and 13 the year before), and Chiefs Baseball showed improvement going 4 and 14 for the 2026 campaign.
The Chiefs are already out there working hard this summer, it will be a fun sports year coming up.
