Santa Fe FFA – Supervised Agricultural Experiences

Santa Fe FFA members have been busy this summer working on their SAE projects. Check back weekly for updates on these student projects.

Parker Finkeldei waters newly transplanted succulents while working at Cedar Lane Greenhouse in Blackburn for his Nursery Operations SAE within the FFA. Along with caring for plants, Parker also assists with shipments in the spring and greenhouse maintenance in the summer. Carleigh Winter adds liquid food to the rose bushes that she is caring for while working for a customer this summer for her Nursery Operations SAE within the FFA.  Carleigh waters plants and containers, trims shrubs, and various other landscaping needs while working for customers.  Carleigh is a first-year FFA member and the current Santa Fe FFA Chapter Treasurer. Ava Plattner checks out a customer while working at Schreiman Orchards in Waverly for her Fruit Production SAE within the FFA.  Ava also prepares ice cream orders as part of her duties while working.  This is Ava’s first summer working at the market.  Ava is a first-year Santa Fe FFA member and the current Santa Fe FFA Student Advisor. She is the daughter of Adam and Angela Plattner of Grand Pass.
