Stocking up the Blessing Box

Throughout the month of July, Waverly United Methodist Church is collecting donations to help restock their Community Blessing Box. This box is intended to provide support for individuals and families in need. Suggested items include nonperishable food items, personal hygiene products and household essentials. Donations may be left in the church foyer (116 W. Kelling, Waverly).

Waverly Community VBS

Waverly Community VBS is scheduled for July 19-23 from 6-8 p.m. at Victory Christian Fellowship. VBS is open to children age 4 (by Aug. 1) – 8th grade. Supper will be served nightly.

Line dancing classes held in Marshall

Line dancing classes will be held at the Marshall Senior Center (14 E. Morgan, Marshall) every other Friday from 6-8(ish) p.m. for the foreseeable future. The next class will be held Friday, July 24. All ages and skill levels are welcome to attend! The class is free, but tips are welcome.

Santa Fe High School football fish fry planned

On Sunday, July 26, the Santa Fe Alumni Foundation will hold a fish fry at the Waverly Community Building from 10:45 a.m. 1:30 p.m. as a fundraiser for the SFHS footbeall team.

Free sports physicals at Santa Fe High School

On July 29, HCC Network will provide free sports physicals at SFHS from 8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. Please visit https://app.jotform. com/261584315932157 to register beforehand.

Lafayette County Health Department closure

LCHD will be closed Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 8 a.m. – noon for staff development/training. The Health Department will be open from 12-5 p.m. that day. All services are provided on a non-discriminatory basis. More information about LCHD can be found at lafayettecountyhealth.org
