Blackburn resident in accident
On Saturday, April 25, a Blackburn resident was involved in an accident in Lafayette County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the accident occurred on 7:20 a.m. on Hwy 20 at Route F, between Corder and Higginsville. A vehicle driven by a 25-year-old male of Higginsville was traveling northbound on Route F when it attempted to cross Highway 20. His vehicle travelled into the path of a westbound motorcycle, driven by a 50-year-old male of Blackburn.
The Higginsville man was wearing a seatbelt and had no injuries listed in the report. The Blackburn man was wearing a safety device and sustained moderate injuries. He was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center via EMS.
The Higginsville vehicle, a 1998 Dodge, received moderate damage and was driven from the scene. The Blackburn vehicle, a 2025 Harley Davidson, was totaled and towed from the scene.
