Huskers Swept by Spartans, Fall to the Panthers

Husker baseball played back to back games against Richmond due to rescheduled games, and the Spartans got the best of HHS both times. As reported last week on 4-28 RHS took that contest in Higginsville, and the game at Richmond was also won by the Spartans, this time by the count 13-1.
Brice Maulis, and Rylan Shockey had the only hits for HHS, as Richmond won the battle at the plate 11 hits to 2. Breck Green and Dalton Johnson both saw mound time for Higginsville. Knob Noster was next at home, and after an exciting car explosion in the park for Dare Day, yet another makeup game was played on 5-8-26. Unfortunately Knob Noster would provide most of the fireworks in this one, cruising to an 18-3 victory over the Huskers. Stats were not yet available for this game.
Coming up this week was a Monday game slated for Lone Jack on the road, and a new opponent on Tuesday, the Santa Fe Chiefs, with assistant coach (and Husker Alum) Tanner Sears coming to Fairground Park.
