Chael Lichte, Lexington High School star basketball player, and distance runner, recently signed a letter of intent to play basketball next year at Missouri Valley College in Marshall.

Lichte had a very strong basketball career for the Minutemen, as he scored right at 1100 points for his career, and is the all time career leading three point shooter with 216 triples. He was also named MRVC All Conference and All District First Team in each of the last two seasons. Chael is also an outstanding long distance runner, as he was the Individual State Champion Cross Country runner in 2024, and finished second this past year.

Lichte will join his former Minutemen teammate Damario Moss at Missouri Valley. Moss was a full time starter this year as a Freshman at Valley, and he averaged 12 points and 6 rebounds per game. During the 2024-2025 basketball season, Moss and Lichte helped lead the Minutemen to a Class 2 District Championship.
