The Higginsville Habilitation Center April 2026 Team Member of the Month was Anna Hunter of Blackburn. She was selected because she is a very hard-working person that goes above and beyond in what she does. HHC recently started EHR (Electronic Health Record) and during this process Anna was very helpful, making sure everyone knew what they were doing, working many days in a row and being available. If someone needs assistance, they can ask her and she doesn’t mind taking the time to go over it making sure they understand. She also does things like working overtime and coming in at undesirable hours to help with coverage (hours like 2 a.m.). She has been flexible with people coming in to do things even when she doesn’t have to and she communicates well. She makes sure everyone knows if she will not be attending something or if something needs to be rescheduled.

Nominators Cory Pottorff and Kate Arborgast said in her nomination application, “Every time I interact with Anna Hunter I have a very positive interaction. Anna is one of the nicest people I know, and she always knows how to bring positive energy into the room with her. Anna knows how to turn something boring into fun experiences while getting work done, and I could not name a time where she has done anything to try to put another coworker down or speak negatively to or about someone.”
