The Lexington All Sports Booster Club hosted their annual fundraising Golf Tournament on June 6 at Shirkey Golf Course in Richmond, and again this year, the tournament raised a large amount of money to support the Sports programs in the Lexington School District.

There were 140 golfers who played in the event, and they were grouped into 35 four person teams, for a total, that played a total of 18 holes in a scramble format. The teams were divided into three different flights, and cash prizes were awarded to the top three teams in each flight, with much of the money donated back to the Booster Club.

Following is a breakdown of the scores of each of the teams in their flight, with one player’s name given for most teams, and their 18 hole score, with 71 being par.

This year’s tournament was played in Honor and Memory of Drew Emerson, former Booster Club President, and Jackie Farmer, who was a very active Booster Club member.

In addition for golfers paying to play in the tournament, a large amount of money was raised through both a live and a silent auction, and the Booster Club sincerely thanks those who contributed items for the Auction, as well as those who purchased different items. Golfers were also treated to a buffet meal, provided by Jobi Hambrick of Go Ham BBQ.
