Missouri Valley Community Action Agency is now completing Head Start applications for the 2026-2027 school year!

Head Start offers free, high quality education for children ages 3-5 and Early Head Start offers services to children from birth. It’s an opportunity for your child to grow socially and emotionally, and children receive nutritious meals daily. Head Start also provides family support by sharing information, referrals, and advocacy from knowledgeable staff.

If you receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, your child may be eligible for Head Start or Early Head Start services. To begin the application process, please call 660-310-1643 or text 660216-1314. If you receive SNAP, please provide either a copy of a Notice of SNAP approval, your household’s SNAP card, or other documentation of eligibility or benefits from the SNAP agency, such as a screenshot from a SNAP mobile app.
