Tieman-Blackburn Legion plans Family Night dinner for July 26
The Tieman-Blackburn American Legion Auxiliary met June 8, 2026, at 7 p.m. at the Legion Hall in Blackburn.
President Jan Erdman called the meeting to order with the Pledge and Preamble. A moment of silence was observed for our servicemen. Chaplain Brittany Embry had a prayer.
There were 10 members and one visitor present answering roll call with “Name something red, white, and blue.”
A motion was made by Denise Limback and seconded to give a donation to the Marshall and Concordia Senior Centers. Motion carried.
A discussion followed on what to charge for the popcorn per bag. The decision was made to charge $7 per bag.
The tickets for the quilt raffle will be $1 each or $6 for five. The quilt was made and donated by DeAnn Dillon.
The cakes for the Auxiliary cake walk need to be at the park by 5:30 p.m.
The 7th District Meeting will be on June 14 at 2 p.m. at Sedalia Post 642. Anyone who wishes to attend is welcome.
On July 26, 2026, the Legion will sponsor a family night dinner. All Legion and Auxiliary family members are invited. There will be a social hour at 6 p.m. dinner will follow at 6:30 p.m.
With no further business the meeting was adjourned with prayer by Chaplain Brittany Embry. Refreshments were served by Carolyn Miller.
The next meeting will be held July 13, 2026.
