Cynthia Lynn Fry

Cynthia Lynn “Cindy” Fry, 63, of Marshall, died Friday, Sept. 4, 2026, at her home. Born Jan. 3, 1963, in Kansas City, Mo., she was the daughter of the late “J.C.” Stevens and Dotty Twilling O’Dell who survives of Marshall. She was a graduate of Marshall High School and the University of Central Missouri.

On July 20, 1985, at United Methodist Church in Marshall, she married Wayne Fry who survives of the home.

Cindy began her teaching career in 1985 teaching preschool in Waverly. That same year she also began teaching at Gilliam C-4 School, and she taught there for 13 years. She then went to teach for Slater Public Schools for the next 27 years.

In addition to her mother, Dotty, and husband, Wayne, she leaves behind two children: Mark Fry of Kansas City and Bryan Fry (Rebekah) of Marshall; two grandsons; her siblings: Craig Stevens (Gina) of Lee’s Summit, Rod Stevens (Edith) of Columbia, Mike Stevens of Springfield, and Heather Stevens Regnier (Andy) of New York; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery.
