By S. Otero The Lafayette County C-1 School District welcomed a new leader on July 1, as Dr. Theresa Christian officially began her role as Superintendent. As she prepares to lead the district into the 2026-2027 school year, community members, staff, students, and families are eager to learn more about the person who will be guiding the district's future.
Tabo Seed awards scholarships to three area graduates
Tabo Seed is proud to announce the recipients of its 2026 Tabo Seed Scholarship. This year’s scholarships were awarded to Brilee Dierking of Malta Bend, Esther Kincaid of Hardin, and Peyton Marshall of Marshall in recognition of their hard work, leadership, and commitment to their education and communities.

Williams Leaves C-1 School Board After 15 Years as President
A significant individual has left our C-1 Lafayette County School District - that being (ex) School Board President Benton Williams. Benton departs following his 15 years with the school board!

MU announces spring Dean’s List
Academic excellence thrives at the University of Missouri, where students rise to meet challenges with determination and ambition. This spring, 12,207 undergraduate students earned dean’s list honors for their exceptional dedication and hard work. Local students named on the list are as follows.
Robertson Memorial Library presents Science Heros
On Tuesday, June 11th the Robertson Memorial Library sponsored an assembly, open to the public, at Grandview Elementary. “Science Heros” taught us all about science and conducted several experiments. A fun time was had by all!
