Summer Camp and Games Highlight Local Soccer Rctiuitg
FC Higginsville ran its 3rd annual Summer Soccer Clinic and had its largest turnout ever with over 40 kids participating in the camp. To put into context, in the first year 16 kids had participated, and last summer 23 players came out. FC Higginsville Technical Director Steve Bartosik added, “It's really something to watch how this thing continues to grow at all levels. Creating opportunities for youth, building new relationships, and connecting with people...It's one of the coolest things I have ever been a part of in my life.”
Missouri Electric Co-op Youth Program Delivers Education and Fun
JEFFERSON CITY. Mo. – Several area youth, were among the 110 high school students from across Missouri who participated in the Missouri Electric Cooperative CYCLE (Cooperative Youth Conference and Leadership Experience) program July 1417. Remington Sublette and Ero Garza of Warrensburg, Alex Dyer of Higginsville and Mia Unruh of Odessa were the local delegates sponsored by West Central Electric Cooperative.

Sawnen Wah, 18, of Indianapolis, Indiana, was found guilty of Assault of a Law Enforcement Officer in the Second Degree, Aggravated Fleeing and Tampering with a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree following a guilty plea handled by Lafayette County Prosecuting Attorney, Kristen Ellis Hilbrenner. The defendant was sentenced to ten years on the Assault of a Law Enforcement Officer, ten years on the Aggravated Fleeing and five years on the Tampering with a Motor Vehicle, with that time to be served in the Missouri Department of Corrections.

Inside John Knox Village East: On Sunday July 19th, we attended church services on site and in the community at large followed by a lunch of Oven Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Country Green Beans with Bacon and Onion, Beef Vegetable Soup, Salad Bar and Dessert. In the a_ernoon, we held our bi-monthly Ice Cream Social. On Monday the 20th, we traveled to the Big Biscuit in Blue Springs for Breakfast. We also played Card Bingo and Bridge.
