Santa Fe sent several competitors on to the next stop (Sectionals) after Districts were played out last week in Carrollton.
Softball season ends in District play
The Santa Fe Lady Chiefs Softball team took on Archie on May 7 in Class 1, District 8 action.

MDC reports hunters took more than 45k birds during regular spring turkey season
Preliminary data from the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) shows turkey hunters checked 45,475 birds during Missouri’s 2026 regular spring turkey season, April 20 through May 10. Top harvest counties for the regular season were Macon with 979 birds harvested, Callaway with 926, and Franklin with 879.


Baseball nearing post season
On May 5, Santa Fe/ Norborne took on Wellington- Napoleon in baseball. The Tigers of WN would go on to secure an 11-4 victory in a rainswept affair played on the carpet in Marshall. Despite rain all day, the two squads (plus the softball teams) completed their games when most other venues were a no-go.

Marshall Community Chorus members perform at Carnegie Hall
On April 23-27, 13 members of the Marshall Community Chorus traveled to New York City to perform at Carnegie Hall.
