The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is asking the public to help it monitor the state’s wild turkey population this summer by reporting wild turkey sightings through the MDC Wild Turkey Brood Survey.

On June 4, the Office of the Registrar at Northwest Missouri State University announced students named to the Academic or President’s honor rolls at the end of the 2026 spring semester.

On June 4, the Office of the Registrar and the Graduate School at Northwest Missouri State University have released the names of students who completed requirements for degrees at the conclusion of the 2026 spring semester. Undergraduate students graduating with honors are designated with asterisks as follows: *** Summa Cum Laude (cumulative GPA of 3.95 to 4.0 on a 4.0 scale) ** Magna Cum Laude (cumulative GPA of 3.75 to 3.94) * Cum Laude (cumulative GPA of 3.50 to 3.74) Local students named on the list are as follows.
Hazel Hill Community Club plans trip to Lyceum Theatre
The Hazel Hill Community Club met at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, at Thomas Hall. Diane Schmidt and Cathy Rogge were hostesses. Other members in attendance were: Audrey Campbell, Anna Mae Closterman, Mary Ellen Kitchen, Shirley Maycock, Mary Salyer, Lois Schmidt and Lolly Schmidt.
