Lafayette Regional Health Center recognized for advancing rural stroke care

People who live in rural communities live an average of three years fewer than urban counterparts and have a 40% higher likelihood of developing heart disease and face a 30% increased risk for stroke mortality, according to an American Heart Association’s presidential advisory on rural health. Lafayette Regional Health Center is committed to changing that.

Santa Fe: Lafayette County 4-H Achievement Day showcases youth talent, hard work

The Lafayette County 4-H Achievement Day took place on June 20 at Lafayette County C-1 Middle School, highlighting the talents and accomplishments of local youth. Events throughout the day included judging contests, demonstrations, fashion revue, public speaking, Clover Kid activities, Western Heritage Personas and the annual King and Queen contest.
