NASS survey set to begin in June
Over the next several weeks, USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) will conduct the June Agricultural Survey by contacting more than 90,000 producers across the nation to determine crop acreage and stock levels as of June 1, 2026.
Saline County waste collection event planned in Marshall
On Saturday, June 13, Saline County residents are invited to participate in a Community Cleanup Recycling/Waste Collection event, with items accepted at the Saline County Fairgrounds (2707 S. Hwy 65, Marshall) from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.


Santa Fe R-10 Foundation: Providing for present & future support
The Santa Fe R-10 Foundation, Inc. was incorporated as a Missouri non-for-profit corporation on May 10, 1994. The Foundation is governed by a nine member board of directors. One board member represents the District Board of Education and one represents District administration. The other board members are comprised of private citizens residing in the District. Current board members presiding are: Howard Dieckhoff, President; Deana Aversman, Vice President; Dennis Rolf, Secretary/ Treasurer; Merle Dierking, Lisa Nevels, Mike Knipmeyer, Randy Sleeper, and Amy Tracy. Since its inception, the Foundation has grown significantly and currently serves as an independent funding source for eighteen scholarships. In addition to providing academic scholarships to students and graduates of the District, the Foundation’s goals are to provide high-quality education by purchasing equipment and supplies which cannot be readily acquired with District funds, and to establish an endowment fund for long-term support of the District.
Lewis and Clark: Heading downstream, coming home
Mountain climbers and explorers know, it’s not going out, it’s coming back — most accidents occur on the descent. The Lewis and Clark expedition was no different, even though most of the trip back was spent floating with the current.

Free quail workshop planned in Norborne
The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) and Quail Forever (QF) invite landowners, land managers, and others interested in quail and uplandbird management to a free program on managing bobwhite quail on private property on Saturday, June 6, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on a private farm in Norborne.
