City of Corder Board of Aldermen Meeting


Below are the notes form the Regular Meeting of the Corder Board of Aldermen held June 9, 2026 at 7:00 PM

Present: Alderman Bauer, Alderman Chapman, Alderman Linebach, Mayor Doug Lorenz, Treasurer Donna Biesemeyer, and City Clerk Matt Limback. Absent was Alderman Vanlanker.

Visitors- No visitors Mayor Lorenz called the meeting to order at 7:00pm and led the pledge of allegiance to the flag.

Agenda Approval Mayor Lorenz called for a motion to approve the agenda. Motion was made by Alderman Linebach and seconded by Alderman Chapman to approve the agenda.

Consent Items

Motion was made by Alderman Bauer and seconded by Alderman Linebach to approve the consent items as presented. Motion carried with a vote of 3-0. Voting yes: Aldermen Bauer, Chapman, and Linebach.

Committee Reports Community Building– No report.

Library– No report Post Office- The southside of the Post Office Building needs tuckpointing.

Park – Trees have been trimmed, 4-H Flag pole is installed, the North Bathrooms have new toilets, the Rodeo Lights are repaired, and the Pie Stand Shelter House has been painted.

Police – Provided Street– Bid from Solid Rock Construction was submitted for street resurfacing. After modifications, a motion was made by Alderman Linebach and seconded by Alderman Chapman to accept the bid with modifications. Motion carried with a vote of 3-0. Voting yes: Aldermen Bauer, Chapman, and Linebach.

Sewer -No report.

Old Business

The City of Corder will need to seek an abatement officer outside of the City Clerk’s office.

New Business

A Juneteenth Proclamation for the Lafayette County Juneteenth celebration was presented. A motion was made by Alderman Linebach and seconded by Alderman Chapman to accept the resolution. Motion carried with a vote of 3-0. Voting yes: Aldermen Bauer, Chapman, and Linebach.

Having no other open business, a motion was made by Alderman Chapman and seconded by Alderman Linebach to approve payment of bills. Motion carried with a vote of 3-0. Voting yes: Aldermen Bauer, Chapman, and Linebach.


July 2026 regular meeting was set for Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 7:00pm at the City Hall.

Motion was made by Alderman Linebach and seconded by Alderman Bauer to adjourn. Motion carried with a vote of 3-0. Voting yes: Aldermen Bauer, Chapman, and Linebach.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 pm.
