4-H Youth Entrepreneurs to Showcase Businesses at Lafayette County Fair
The University of Missouri Extension Center of Lafayette County invites the community to support local youth entrepreneurs at the Show Me 4-H Wares booth during the Lafayette County Fair.
The sales booths will be open Thursday, July 16 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the shelter house across from the 4-H Barn during the Higginsville Chamber of Commerce Farmer Appreciation Dinner.
Show Me 4-H Wares is a University of Missouri Extension 4-H program that gives young people the opportunity to turn their project skills into small businesses.
Participants gain valuable experience in entrepreneurship, marketing, customer service, and financial management while demonstrating mastery of their 4-H projects.
Fairgoers are encouraged to visit the booths to purchase handmade products, learn more about Missouri 4-H, and support youth as they develop real-world business skills. Programs like Show Me 4-H Wares help prepare the next generation of scientists, inventors, and entrepreneurs by providing hands-on learning experiences and community support.
This year’s participating entrepreneurs include: • C&L Sugar and Suds – Claire and Lincoln Dobson, Hitt 4-H Club
• Elizabeth’s Signature Soaps – Elizabeth Ward, Hitt 4-H Club Community members are encouraged to stop by, meet these young business owners, and support their entrepreneurial efforts while enjoying the Lafayette County Fair.
