Middle School track teams compete in MRVC Conference meet

The Lexington Middle School Girls and Boys Track Teams traveled to Carrollton this past Friday and competed in the MRVC East Middle School Conference Track Meet.

The Lexington Girls had two individual Conference Champions, as Kennedy Beal placed first in the 1600 Meter Run, with a personal best time (5:48), while Aaliyah Gilmore finished first in the Discus, with a toss of 95’ 6”). Gilmore also placed second in the Shot Put (32’ 7”) while Beal was the second place finisher in the 800 Meter Run (2:42).

Also for the Lexington Girls, Amelia Arcuri placed third in the Pole Vault, while Audrey Bayne was sixth in the 100 Meter Dash. The 4×100 Meter Relay Team of Bayne, Emerson Borgman, Sutton Eaton, and Gabby Grosso also placed, as they finished fourth.

For the Lexington Boys, Jack Taylor placed second in the long Jump (15’ 9”), while Wesley Anderson was third in the 100 Meter Dash and fourth in the 200 Meter Dash. Jimmy Worstell placed fourth in the 1600 Meter Run, with Hunter Harned finishing sixth in the Long Jump. Two Boys Relay Teams placed, as the 4×100 Meter Team of Anderson Taylor, Harned and Elijah Jones placed fourth, while the 4×800 Meter Team of Aiden Bayne, Dale Doak, Case Lichte, and Worstell also finished in fourth place.

In terms of Team Standings, for the Girls, Richmond was the team champion, with Higginsville second, and the Lexington Girls fifth. For the Boys, Knob Noster finished in first place with Higginsville second, and the Lexington Boys sixth.
