Evelyn Lynch passed away at home on May 14, 2026, at the age of 100. Born on Feb. 17, 1926, in Malta Bend, Evelyn was the daughter of Alva C. Gauldin and Sarah K. Gauldin.

For more than 30 years, Evelyn owned and operated The Coffee Shop, The Banquet Room, and Evelyn’s 3rd Door in Marshall.

In 1998, she moved to Blue Springs to be closer to her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Charles W. Lynch; siblings: Charles Gauldin, Mary Elizabeth Gauldin Rimmer, Alva “Buzzy” C. Gauldin Jr., Margarie Gauldin Mayes, David Gauldin, and Giles Gauldin; sonin- law, Troy Eskew; and other extended family.

Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Shirley Early and Sarah Eskew, both of Blue Springs; her daughter-in-law, Cathy Lynch of Blue Springs; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating. No visitation will be held, and burial will take place at a later date at Union Cemetery north of Marshall.
