Larry Paul Webster passed away on June 18, 2026, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, at the age of 80. Born on Dec. 18, 1945, Larry grew up in the Malta Bend area. He later made Marshall, his home, where he and the love of his life, Martha Ann “Marty” Chevalier Webster.

Throughout his life, Larry served his community with pride. Larry worked as a police officer with the Marshall Police Department and later as Superintendent of the Water Department for Marshall Municipal Utilities.

Nearly 20 years ago, Larry was given just six months to live. In typical Larry fashion, he treated that prediction more like a suggestion. What followed were almost two decades of extra time – a gift he embraced fully.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Curtis Don, who he never had the opportunity to meet on this earth.

He is survived by his beloved wife Marty; his daughters Regina “Gina” Glisson (Jerry) of Marshall and Dena Sloan (Scott) of Indianola, Iowa; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one great-granddaughter on the way; his sister, Barbara Jean; and a large extended family.
