The Hazel Hill Community Club met at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, at Thomas Hall. Diane Schmidt and Cathy Rogge were hostesses. Other members in attendance were: Audrey Campbell, Anna Mae Closterman, Mary Ellen Kitchen, Shirley Maycock, Mary Salyer, Lois Schmidt and Lolly Schmidt.

President Cathy called the meeting to order. Lolly read the minutes, and they were approved as read. Mary Ellen gave the Treasurer’s report as of May 1.

A thank you card was read from Children’s Mercy Hospital.

It was decided to purchase 10 tickets to the Lyceum Theatre for Aug. 20. The club will see “Steel Magnolias” at 2 p.m.

Lolly and Anna Mae won door prizes. “Turning to Prayer” was read by Cathy. Delicious refreshments were served by Cathy and Diane.
