Since the last update, the following people have filed for county elected positions in the August Primary as of March

Standings and records of area basketball teams
Following is a summary of the final conference standings, record, and the overall record for each area high school basketball team.

Academic Week
Lexington High School held its annual Academic Week last week r ecognizing students who have had at least three semesters of high school and maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.66 or higher. Above, students were treated to a visit to Lambert’s, home of the “throwed rolls.” More photos from the week are on page 2.

Lexington girls wrestlers compete well at state
The three Lexington Minutewomen Wrestlers, who qualified for the State Wrestling Tournament, all made a good showing at the State meet last Wednesday and Thursday at the Mizzou Arena in Columbia.

LRHC Auxiliary awards nursing scholarships
The Lafayette Regional Health Center Auxiliary is pleased to announce that they are awarding $1,000 scholarships to the following Lex-La-Ray LPN students for the 2025-26 school year: Carissa Conger, Diana Giron and Hailey Meador.

Lexington R-5 School District Celebrates Students and Athletes Nearly any night of the week you can attend a Lexington sporting event to support an athlete. And if you don’t have a child or grandchild at Lexington middle school or high school, you are invited to attend anyway.
