Rodekohr, Lichte accomplish career milestones

Amanda Rodekohr and Chael Lichte, both Seniors at Lexington High School, recently achieved special Milestones in their athletic careers.

Amanda Rodekohr, who is a Wrestler, earned the 100th win of her high school career, during the Highway 13 Throwdown Tournament in Higginsville on January 30.

Rodekohr was a very strong leader on this years Lexington Minutewomen Girls Wrestling Team that became the first Lexington Girls Wrestling team to win an MRVC Conference Championship, as they were undefeated in MRVC East dual meets. She had an overall record of 35-14 this season, and she won three matches in the highly competitive District Wrestling Meet this past Weekend in Kearney.

Amanda was also the second baseman on this years Lexington Girls Softball team that had an 18-10 overall record, and finished in third place, with a 6-4 record in the tough MRVC East race.

In addition to Softball, Amanda also ran on the Lexington Girls Cross Country team, during the same season.

She is also a strong performer on the Lexington Girls Track and Field team, as she came on very strongly late in the season last year, and qualified for and competed in the Class 2 State Track Meet in Jefferson City.

Chael Lichte, a member of the Lexington Boys Basketball team, achieved two different career milestones in one night, this past Friday evening in the Richmond game. In the third period of that contest, Chael hit a driving lay up, and scored the1000th point of his high school career.

Then in the fourth quarter, he nailed his second three point basket of the night, and he became the career three point scoring leader for Lexington High School, breaking the record that was set by Tanner Kaullen in the 2020 basketball season.

Last year, Chael was a key player on the Lexington Class 2 District Championship Basketball Team, and he was named to both the MRVC East All Conference, and the All District Basketball Teams.

Chael is also an outstanding Cross Country runner, as he was the Class 2 Individual State Champion in 2024, and he finished second in the State this past season, while running his best time.

He was also an All State runner in each of the past two seasons, and he finished in first place individually, in almost all of the races that he competed in during both seasons.

Chael is also a very good centerfielder on the Minutemen Baseball Team.

We have had numerous athletes that have achieved career milestones. Within a few weeks we will try to summarize as many of those achievements as possible in our Aull About Sports column.
