Husker Track and Field Starts Post Season Competition
The Huskers competed in Class 2 District 7 competition at Carrollton last week on May 9th.

Track and Field Competes at Home, and at Conference Meet
The Husker Track and Field program was in two meets last week, which included the MRVCE Championships where both the boys and girls teams each finished in third place. Here are the results of top three placers: Dean Hayes Invite at Higg. hosted by Hardin-Central


Tennis Team Sends Doubles Teams to State
The goal of reaching state was achieved last week by a pair of doubles teams for the Husker tennis program. Colby Dickmeier and Alex Dyer took top honors at districts defeating teammates Matteo Guillen and Rhett Bums 6-2, 6-0 as both teams advance to Springfield May 14th and 15 th for state competition.

Husker Fall in Conference Play to Eagles and Spartans
The Holden Eagles hosted the Huskers on 4-27-26 in baseball. Higginsville had their work cut out for themselves as the Eagles are over .500 at 10 and 8, and defeated the Huskers in Higginsville last time 17 to 1. The Blue and Gold are still searching for win number two but it would not come on this day as Holden took the contest 13-0.

LCC-1 High School Competes in the Scholar Bowl National Championship Tournament
On the weekend of Saturday, April 25, Lafayette County C-1 High School joined 153 of the top quiz bowl teams from small public high schools at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare Chicago for the 2026 Small School National Championship Tournament to determine who was the best.
Husker GolF Report
Golf was in action last week at Richmond and at the Husker Invitational. At Richmond the team took 5th out of 8th place behind richmond, Richmond JV, Lexington and Orrick, with individual scores looking like this: Brady Looney (SR) +22, Mathias Johnson (SO) +23, Gracie Arndt (JR), +33, Kasyn Otero (SO) +34, Katelynn Davis (JR) +30.
