After a delayed start time due to high temps, the Lady Huskers Tennis Team gave Lexington all they could handle and more last week on Tuesday, September 1st. In what is known as a “Golden Match,” the netwomen delivered quite a rarity. A “Golden Set” is where an opponent scores not a single point. A team match of that variety could be explained as when an opponent gets completely blanked game-wise.

The Lady Huskers had a great season a year ago and got off on the right foot last week against the Wellington-Napoleon Lady Tigers in the west gym on Thursday night. With school starting on Tuesday, the team took no time in getting adjusted to the routine, building solid leads early and often.
